This is our English news wiki. We are trying to provide English translations of important Persian news, interviews, and statements here. These are related to the Iranian presidential elections of 2009 and its prologue and aftermath.
We believe that such translations may be able to provide more insight into the Iranian situation. We try to be fair and provide translations from all sides of the political spectrum, but we have our own editorial bias in choosing pieces to cover. Please note that we are all volunteers and we choose the pieces we translate based on personal judgment on what is more important. In translations, we will try provide in-line links to the English Wikipedia, to facilitate research into subjects that have obvious connotations to Iranians, but are black boxes to English speakers.
We will try to provide an original Persian next to the English translation. We will also try to fix any errors we find in our translations: we believe that an improved translation trumps the stability preferences of traditional media. If you wish to refer to any specific version, use our history feature of each page.
The documents are copyrighted by their original authors, and we believe our translation of them in the present situation justifies fair use.
